The CIY summer conference, MOVE, has by far been one of the best event all summer. We had an amazing time there, as we all were encouraged and challeneged by the speakers & each other.
Although there were only five of us, we had faith that God would move us...and he did. But He's known for doing a lot with only a little.
Our trip started out well and ended well, because none of us killed each other. We actually had a great time with one another playing cards, Balderdash, a hand-slap game, and doing spit-takes (ask Julie). I don't think I laughed that much ever, especially when Jeremy laughed so hard he shot hot chocolate out his nose. Good times.
One of the best things about the trip was the challenge put forth by the conference speakers,
who asked us to live as if Jesus not only died for us, but raised for us, and gave us a new life that is to be lived by his power. Because he did. And this is our challenege: to be the salt and the light of the world by loving God, others, and by spreading the good news about salvation.
In the end, we were closer to each other and we were closer to God. We left with a feeling of purpose and a burden for the lost. And we left encouraged because of the great work that God's Holy Spirit did and will continue to do in us.
