As we prepare for the arrival of Thanksgiving and Christmas it’s easy to think about all the blessings we have. One of the most important things about the upcoming holiday season is that we are mindful of those who are in need and that we allow God to use us to serve others. Jr. High Communion Visitation – Nov. 2nd
9:00am – 10:15am. During the normal JH Sunday School hour, Jim will be taking the JH Sunday School class on a communion visitation with him.
We have tried to do this at least once/year for the last several years, and have discovered this to be a good experience for both the JH students as well as the recipients. This is an off-campus event, so please be advised. We will be back at the church building no later than 10:15am.
People Scavenger Hunt – Nov. 5th
6:45pm – 7:45pm. It’s back, one of the most fun events of the year. Students will race around Downtown Disney in groups of 4 – 5 hunting down cleverly costumed members of our congregation, with only the help of their youth sponsor and a picture of the person before their creative transformation. It’s gonna be wild and crazy fun. Students will be back to church by 8pm.
Jr. High Bell Rehearsal – Nov. 15th
3:30pm – 4:30pm. The JH students will be accompanying the children's choir & the adult choir on one piece during the Christmas holiday. At a "special" rehearsal on Saturday 11/15 the JH students will be practicing bells at 3:30pm, and then, when the adult/children's choir arrives at 4:00pm, JH will rehearse with them. We will be done no later than 4:30pm.
Canned Food Drive – Nov. 12th, 16th, 19th and 23rd
Students will drop off their collected canned goods during regular Wed. night and Sunday morning Bible classes. It’s a simple, yet practical way that we can help those in need.
Hanging of the Greens – Nov. 29th9am – 11am. The last Saturday of the month we will be decorating our church building and preparing for the Christmas season. All students are encouraged to join in the festivities.
