THANKSGIVING

It's easy to get distracted by all the preparations that come with the celebration of Thanksgiving. Often we get so caught up in cooking and family and football that we forget to actually stop and give thanks to God for his goodness. When we do that it basically becomes dead, roasted bird day. Take the time daily to praise God for his wonderful kindness, grace, mercy and provision.

Student Life in March

"Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him."
As we get ready to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, it's important that we prepare ourselves both physically and spiritually. It is also equally important that we help others to be ready for the Lord, Jesus. Like John the Baptist, we need to be a voice calling out in the desert. In March there are and will be many opportunities to prepare the way of the Lord. Check out the Events & Activities Calendar to see how you can get involved.

Student Life in February

"LOVE THAT NEVER FAILS."
Valentine's Day is usually what February is known for. It's a time when we spend money on those we love to show them how important they are to us. We send out cards, flowers and candy; tokens declaring our devotion and faitfulness.
But let's not forget to show our continuing love, devotion, and faitfhulness to our God, who showed through Jesus, that His love never fails.
Make this February a month where you display the love of God, not just another Hallmark month.

Student Life in January

Welcome back from Winter Break and to a new decade. 2010 is going to be a great year, full of relevant and purposeful activities, events and opportunities for service. We hope that you had a chance to reflect on 2009, to see your personal and spiritual maturity over the past year. Now, it's time to look forward to what lies ahead: another year to become like Jesus and to show the world his love.
